Seachtain na Gaeilge 2011

Céilí na bpáistí

Every child in the school danced for the afternoon. The craic was mighty!

Children from 3rd and fourth classes went to Raidió Rí-Rá studios. They played music and were interviewed. There wasn't a shy person amongst them. Maith sibh!

Our Parents were treated to a feast in the hall to celebrate Pancake Tuesday, thanks to our industrious Parents committee.  Of course, we didn't forget the children who were all given pancakes at lunch time. The day's festivities didn't end there - Grafitti Classics came in the afternoon and again Parent's were welcome to join in the craic and hillarity of the performance with the children.

Grafitti Classics

Our Parent & Toddler group made special efforts this week to use as much gaeilge as possible.  It was wonderful to have so many in attendance and by the sounds of the chat and the laughter a great time was had by all.

From junior infants to 4th class, the children were all exceptionally busy in their classrooms on Monday.

They were practicing set dances for our upcoming ceilí on Sunday 13th March.  Composing special rhymes to skip to, writing books, poems and stories...and much more!!
